Following the recent launch of African Enterprise Southern Africa Region (AESAR), and after a rigorous recruitment process by the African Enterprise International office and the International Board, it is my pleasure to announce to you the appointment of Mr. Simon Nzivwa Mundu as our International Operations Manager (IOM). Simon will be based in the AEI office in Nairobi, Kenya. As part of the wider IOM functions, he will have oversight over set-up operations in the AE Southern Africa Region which comprises of AE Malawi, AE Zimbabwe and AE Zambia. 

Mr. Simon Mundu comes on board with diverse 20 years’ experience in finance and operations from the private and public sectors. In his immediate previous role, Simon was the County Executive Committee Member and Minister for Finance & Economic Planning in the County government of Kitui, in the former Eastern Province of Kenya.

He is a graduate of the University of Nairobi, from where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Master of Business Administration (MBA). He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in finance from the same institution. Simon is a certified public accountant (CPA (K) and member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAK).

He also has a rich background of involvement in Christian ministry through the years. He is a member of the Deliverance Church Kenya and is a member of the pastoral team at the Embakasi assembly. Deliverance church is one of the churches that support AE’s work in Kenya.

Simon is married to Grace and they have three children: Euphemia, Elijah & Emmanuel.

We pray that God will grant Simon grace as he settles into his new role in the wider AE operations and specifically in the immediate now as he leads in the collaborative efforts of Zimbabwe, Malawi & Zambia, to realize AESAR’s vision to reach at least 1 Million people with the gospel by 2025.
